Ogun II Customs Command Generates #15.19Billion in Q1 2025.

The Ogun II Customs Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has generated a total revenue of #15,191,227, 503.82 for the First Quarter of 2025. The revenue collected represents about a 40% increase compared to the #9,165,717,162.99 Kobo recorded in the corresponding period of 2024. According to the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Bisi Alade, “this achievements is a testament to the diligence, commitment and professionalism of the officers and men who have worked tirelessly to ensure that we succeed our revenue targets, ” he said.

“It is also indicative of our unwavering commitment to the economic growth and development of the nation,” he added.

Breakdown of the revenue generated shows a progressive increase over the four (4) months; January-April 2025 S/NO EXCISE #8,333,039,874.82 Kobo.
Free Trade Zone #7,164,777,965.00 Kobo, Bonded Terminal (Import) #1,495,658,869.00 Kobo, totaling #15,191,227,503,.82 Kobo.

In addition to the revenue generated, the command also discovered an unauthorized factory that was operating illegally, the command brought it under excise control.
The command therefore, attributes the success to several strategic initiatives implemented by the Customs Area Controller in recent months, which includes, Enhancing the command Monitoring Unit operations, Improved intelligence gathering, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which aligns perfectly with the policy of the CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR’s principles of consolidation, Collaboration, and Innovation. His visionary leadership and enabling
support are crucial in enhancing our capabilities and driving these impressive result, he said.

However, the command reaffirmed its commitment and determination to surpass this performance in the coming months with the improved compliance of the trading community, partners at Free Trade Zones and the Bonded Terminal within Command’s Area of Responsivity ( AoR)
