MASPAN, AMANO Lauds Leadership of MWUN.

The Maritime Security Providers Association of Nigeria in conjunction with the Alumni of Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron (AMANO) have lauded the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) and its leadership under the aegis of Comrade (Prince) Dr. Adewale Adeyanju, fnli, HFCPSP, given the support coming from the foremost Maritime Union during the just concluded event of MASPAN-AMANO 2024 conference on Drugs, Human Smuggling and Trafficking.

The evolving maritime security threats to ships and seafarers. The Maritime Security Providers Association of Nigeria in conjunction with the Alumni Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, with deep sense of responsibility appreciate the sterling leadership qualities of Dr. Adeyanju, President General, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) for his foresight and immense contributions towards a Drug-Free and Human Smuggling and Trafficking in the country’s Maritime sector.

More so, Comrade Francis Bunu, Deputy President-General of the union was also given accolades for his good will message, which was a morale booster for participants during the occasion. As an astute seafarer of note, his contributions and unwavering support for the nation’s Seafarers cannot be over emphasized.

Prince Adeyanju, who doubles as the Deputy President, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and also the Vice President Global, International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) was the Special Guest on the occasion, which was organized by both bodies to sensitize the nation’s maritime space on the dangers of drugs towards the General wellbeing of humanity and the dangers it poses to the society in general, same which goes for buman trafficking and smuggling.

However, the event came to a successful end with both MASPAN and AMANO pledging their unflinching support for the President-General, MWUN and continued commitment towards the course of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria at all times.
