Western Marine Command Confiscates 20 Sacks of Cannabis Indica.

The Western Marine Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has intercepted 20 Sacks of Cannabis Indica, totalling 1,205 loaves, and recorded 21,414 container escort operations.

The Duty Paid Value of the seized cannabis sativa is put at #157,830,000. The Western Marine Container Seat Team has also continued to play a critical role in facilitating legitimate trade and enhancing port logistics.

According to the press statement, the team recorded the successful escort of 21,414 containers from the main port to various bonded terminal, ensuring compliance, transparency and efficient movement of cargo.

These operational achievements reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Western Marine Committed, to its statutory responsibilities of revenue Protection, border security, and trade facilitation. The command remains resolute in the fight against smuggling and other criminal activities that threatens national security and economic stability.
