The Maritime Journalists Association of Nigeria (MAJAN) is organising a One day seminar on “Transforming Trade Facilitation: The Role of National Single Window in Enhancing Economic Efficiency.”

The seminar is billed for Thursday, April 10,2025, at the prestigious Rock View Hotel, park lane, Apapa Lagos. Time, 11:00 AM prompt.

The seminar aims to explore the concept of the National Single Window (NSW), its objectives, and its potential to streamline trade facilitation process while enhancing economic efficiency in Nigeria. Key areas of discussion will include the goals of the NSW project, stakeholders role, implementation strategies, and its alignment with both national and regional trade facilitation initiatives such as the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AFCFTA.)

The event will be graced by prominent personalities in the maritime industry, including, Honourable Adegboyega Oyetola, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, as the Special Guest of Honour, Mr To la Fakolade, Director of the National Single Window project, as the keynote Speaker.

Guest of Honour Include; Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, Managing director, Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA), Barrister Pius I. Seminar Highlights.

The event will also view the “potential of the International Cargo Tracking Note (ICTN) and its implications for the Nigerian port industry.

According to the statement issued by MAJAN PRO, Comrade Frank Odinukaeze, the seminar will serve as a platform for stakeholders across government, private sector, and service providers to collaborate, share knowledge, and chart a path toward economic growth through trade facilitation reforms.
