Comptroller FO Onyeka Takes Over Baton of Leadership at Tincan Customs Command.

The Tincan Island Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has welcomed a new Customs Area Controller (CAC) Comptroller FO Onyeka. This came as a result of the recent promotion of Comptroller DA Nnadi mni to the management rank of Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs. Comptroller FO Onyeka holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.

Comptroller Onyeka has attended other training where he obtained several certifications in the Service within and outside the Country.

Comptroller Onyeka has consistently demonstrated remarkable intellect and exceptional courage in every assignment he undertakes. Whether in the field or at the helm of operations, his dedication to the core mandates of the Comptroller-General of Customs stands out. He effectively discharged duties assigned to him while ensuring alignment with global best practices. His ability to uphold high standards in the Service process showcases both his commitment to improving operations within the Service.

Before his present deployment as the Customs Area Controller, Tincan Island Area Command, Comptroller Frank O Onyeka was the Officer in charge of the Apapa Premier Port Command Gate, where he worked tirelessly with Comptroller Babatunde Olomu, CAC Apapa Premier Port Command in generating the massive trillions that the command generated.

He also served in Onne Port Command, Federal Ocean Terminal (FOT) gate on top chart of transformational innovations, huge revenue collection and seizures made. He was the first recipient of the valued addition officer award created by the present Assistant Comptroller-General, Board, ACG B Imam.

Comptroller Onyeka’s enthusiasm and seal with his professional instincts for trade facilitation, revenue generation and Anti-smuggling feats are unassuming. With his deployment to Tincan Island Port Command, CAC Onyeka no doubt, will usher in his years of experience and training to uphold the CGC’s policy thrust of collaboration, consolidation and innovation. He has a unique interpersonal skills yet very strict to trade compliance and laden with innovative ideas to achieve results. His success is puzzling, a workaholic that attracts success at all levels.

In his inaugural address, he expressed his commitment to the policy thrust of the Comptroller-General of Customs and his management team, also, he aligned himself to the exemplary leadership qualities of the out-gone Comptroller DA Nnadi in areas of revenue generation, Anti-smuggling activities and most importantly, the infrastructural transformational of the command.

He emphasised that one of his principles is an all inclusive principles, as no man has the monopoly of knowledge. He therefore urged all critical stakeholders, security agencies, freight forwarders, terminal operators and the media to put all hands on deck to ensure that the legacy of the ACG is upheld.
