Comptroller Nnadi meets Stakeholders.
… Harps on new Modalities to be expected of Stakeholders.

Comptroller Dera Nnadi, Customs Area Controller, Tincan Island Port Command has called on stakeholders so as to brief them on new ways expected of them to do business in the command.

He pointed out that his theme for the year 2024 which is , “A year for Stakeholders”. Nnadi said that the well-being of everyone that come to do business in the area command is important to him, the command and the Service at large.

Comptroller Nnadi noted that the year is at its tail end. Therefore, he appreciated the efforts put in place to ensure that the command”s revenue for the year 2024 is met.

He noted the struggles that stakeholders go through especially during the ember season cannot be over emphasized. He stated that honest declarations from compliant importers will not attract any issue of delays but that those who think they can out smart the system will have themselves to blame as the command will not condone such malpractice but prosecutes offenders.

He further said that he had ensured, that all the new bonded terminals domicile in Tincan Island Port has space available for Stakeholders while the go about their lawful businesses noting that no such space were created at the customs headquarters.

However, he promise to critically into while the renovation of the Command’s office complex is in progress.

Therefore, he admonished the stakeholders to learn to keep the environment clean at all times pending when refuse bins will be distributed at strategic locations, adding, “A clean environment portrays a healthy lifestyle.”

Fielding questions from the stakeholders, he said that issues raised will be address in due course.
